Bonnie-Marie Wetting
Bonnie-Marie’s passion for performing arts stretches back as far as she can remember - she first started classes at Stage Door at the tender age of just seven! She has been a Stage Door student ever since, taking classes in Musical Theatre, Drama and Singing. Through the years we have loved seeing Bonnie-Marie grow and develop, both as a performer and as a committed, conscientious young woman.
Bonnie-Marie has appeared in many school productions, and played one of the Mersisters in Stage Door’s 2018 production of ‘The Little Mermaid Jnr’. She has also taken to the stage in Theatre Whakatane’s productions of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and ‘Seussical’, and is a current cast member of ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ which is due to hit the stage in early 2021.
Bonnie-Marie has several Trinity College Drama Exam exam certificates to her name and last year was named top in her drama class at Trident High School.
Back in 2017 Bonnie-Marie was the recipient of Stage Door’s coveted ‘Most Outstanding Senior’ award, in recognition of her fantastic attitude, commitment, passion and growth.
Although still young, Bonnie-Marie has proven herself to be a conscientious and committed young woman with a special knack for working with children! While she loves all aspects of the performing arts, Bonnie-Marie is particularly passionate about Musical Theatre. We are excited to have Bonnie-Marie join the Stage Door team as an assistant tutor in our junior musical theatre classes.
