Kenzie Tidd

Kenzie joined the Stage Door team as an assistant tutor back in 2022 as our youngest ever team member.
Kenzie has grown up in and around the theatre, and Stage Door. She is passionate about music, drama and performing and in her short years has amassed a wealth of theatre experience, both on and off the stage.

Kenzie first appeared onstage at 6 years old, in Stage Door’s 2018 production of ‘The Little Mermaid Jnr’. In 2019 she played Gretl in Theatre Whakatane’s production of ‘The Sound of Music’ and in 2021 played Tessie in Stage Door's production of ‘Annie Jnr’. 2023 was a big year for Kenzie - she played the villanous Lady Lava in Whakatāne Intermediate's production of Rock Bottom, the title role in Stage Door's proudction of Aladdin Jnr, and was in the ensemble of the Junior Theatre Festival NZ pilot programme performance of 'Between the Lines Jnr'.
Kenzie has been selected to represent Aotearoa as part of the 2025 Kiwi All-Stars musical theatre performance troupe - travelling to America in early 2025. As part of this amazing opportunity Kenzie will get to train with industry professionals on Broadway, at the Sacramento Junior Theatre Festival and at Disneyland!

Kenzie takes private singing lessons and has attended Stage Door’s Drama and Musical Theatre classes since she was five. She works as an assistant tutor in our Musical Theatre and Drama classes. Kenzie brings energy and fun to her mahi at Stage Door and is particularly skilled at supporting our youngest students, and those needing a little extra support.
