CLASS NAME MEANING
All of our Group Singing Classes are named after a musical term.
More often than not, musical terms are directions as to the volume, speed and style of a piece of music, and Italian words.
‘Prima’ is no different.
In music 'Prima' relates to the first section of a piece of music.
The English of ‘Prima’ is ‘First’ - an apt class name for our youngest singing class.
When Stage Door first introduced Group Singing Classes to our offering back in 2015 we had three classes running:
- Our youngest class (‘Prima’, or ‘First’);
- Our middle class (‘Mezzo’ or ‘Middle’), and;
- Our oldest class (‘Ultimo’ or ‘Last’)
